Privacy Policy

How UK Sheets handles your personal data — under the UK GDPR.

Last updated: 16 June 2026

1. Who is the data controller?

This website (https://www.uksheets.com/) is run by UK Sheets. We respect your privacy and handle your personal data carefully, in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Data controller: UK Sheets
Email: [email protected]
(Full details of the operator are on the About this site page.)

2. What information do we collect?

We collect as little personal data as possible. Specifically:

  • Technical data — IP address (anonymised), browser type, operating system, referring website and language setting. This is needed for the site to run securely and reliably.
  • Usage statistics — pages visited, click behaviour and templates downloaded. We only collect this with your consent via the cookie banner.
  • Contact details — when you email us: your email address and the content of your message.

We do not require any registration, newsletter sign-up or payment details to download templates.

3. What do we use the data for? (lawful basis)

  • Protecting the site against misuse (technical data — legitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR).
  • Understanding which templates are used most so we can improve our collection (analytics cookies — consent, Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR).
  • Responding to your enquiry (legitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR).
  • Showing ads via ad networks (only with your explicit consent).

4. Who do we share data with?

We do not sell your data. We only share it with:

  • Our hosting provider — to run the website (covered by a data processing agreement under Article 28 UK GDPR).
  • Google Analytics — with anonymised IP, only after consent via the cookie banner.
  • Ad networks (Google AdSense) — only if you accept personalised ads.

5. How long do we keep data?

  • Access logs: 6 months maximum.
  • Statistics (anonymised): 26 months maximum.
  • Emails: up to 24 months after the last reply.

6. Your rights under the UK GDPR

  • Right of access — find out what data we hold about you (Article 15).
  • Right to rectification — have inaccurate data corrected (Article 16).
  • Right to erasure — have your data deleted (Article 17).
  • Right to restriction — have processing restricted (Article 18).
  • Right to data portability — receive your data in a common format (Article 20).
  • Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests (Article 21).
  • Withdraw consent — for cookies and ads via the cookie settings on this site.

Email [email protected] to exercise any of these rights. We respond within one month (Article 12(3) UK GDPR).

7. Right to complain

Not happy with how your data is handled? You can complain at any time to the UK supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk.

8. Data breaches

If, despite our safeguards, a personal data breach occurs, we will report it to the ICO within 72 hours (Article 33 UK GDPR) and, where required, also to those affected (Article 34 UK GDPR).

9. Changes

We may update this policy if our practices or the law change. The current version is always on this page.
